INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS ACADEMY (IBA)
The IBA business school, located in the town of Kolding, is one of the country’s most internationally-oriented business academies, with over 85 overseas partner institutions across the globe, some of them as far-flung as China, South Korea, etc.
IBA’s vision is ‘Education that Works’, a best example of which is seen from the short-customised courses that the Academy offers to businesspeople, to enhance their work-place skills, and to job seekers to augment their employability skills. These courses are a reflection of their passion to make the world a better workplace, creating value for the employers as well as the employees. The manner in which IBA combines project-based internships with theory and practical skills in partnership with the regional business sector is a mission for them to achieve their vision. IBA’s membership with the Network of International Business Schools [NIBS] has helped the Academy to arrange study trips, student and employee exchange programs and conferences. The students also get ample opportunities to get involved in development projects and also participate in International case competitions.
IBA has Erasmus Charter, which allows partner institutions to send their students for exchange programs; likewise, IBA’s Danish students also have a prospect of visiting overseas countries on exchange basis to spend a semester or a varying period that not only enriches their outlook, but also expands the horizon of their learnings and gives them a chance to develop their professional and social networks.
IBA has 1430 full time and 3200 part time students enrolled [into professional development courses], many of whom are international students. The Academy has around 120 permanent employees and 80 freelance teachers and lecturers. IBA is indeed proud to offer world-class study programmes, providing a splendid learning environment, braced with an international atmosphere and highly qualified teaching staff and an international administration.
IBA offers 2-year AP degrees in the areas of finance, sales and marketing, design management and web & multimedia. Bachelor and Master’s degree programmes within Business, Marketing and Finance, some of which include internship placements, thanks to their active collaboration with the business sector of the region. Also offered is an MBA-level programme. Most of these programmes are taught in English.
Thus, the overall philosophy behind IBA’s vision of ‘Education that Works’ offers an exciting, attractive prospect to the local, regional as well as international students.
