Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies is one of the leading universities of science and technologies in the Baltic Sea region, specializing in the sustainable use of natural resources aimed at the enhancement of quality of life for society. Based in the city of Jelgava, the University specializes in forestry, food technology and agricultural science.

Jelgava’s 18th century palace built by Francesco Bartholomeo Rastrelliis used for educational purposes by LULST and it is a major attraction for visitors as well as its students who eagerly wait for the year end prestigious Christmas Ball in the palace.
With close to 5,000 students, the university is one of Latvia’s most popular study destinations for these subject areas. There are eight faculties at the university, viz. Economics and Social Development, Faculty of Information Technologies, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Environment and Civil Engineering, Forest Faculty, Faculty of Food Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
